The george foundation -
for Photography, Film and Media Arts
The george foundation concentrates on photography, film and new media art. The foundation would like to promote innovative and unorthodox projects of a pioneering nature in these areas. It also involves itself in projects, which grapple with current social problems and are of importance for future generations. It is based in Winterthur/Switzerland and is a non-profit foundation under the supervision of the Canton of Zurich.
The name George recalls the cultural activities of George Reinhart
(1942-1997), who initiated the Fotomuseum Winterthur and promoted innumerable projects in the areas of photography, film, literature and music.
